Blogs
Here you will find the various blogs of members of Scruton Karate Club.
The Blogs created so far are listed in the panel on the left.
A BLOG refers to a private webpage which is published by either an individual or a group of individuals.
BLOGS are commonly personal journals/diaries and are used to comment on all sorts of topics depending on the interests of the blogger (author).
A BLOG is usually updated frequently, maybe monthly, weekly or even daily, it all depends on the blogger.
Most blogs enable the visitors to post comments and/or suggestions allowing interactivity between the blogger and the visitors.
If you would like to creat a blog and put it up here then you need to:
1) Create your blog in your own space first - log in, and then click on "My Blogs"
2) Send an email to admin@scrutonkarate.org.uk just giving the name of your blog. It will then be made live.
You can then update it through the "My Blogs" page.
You may need to download a plugin for your browser first - please see the panel below for details.
Before you create your blog .....
You need to activate the editor. If you go into the create blog screen but just see a window with a red "x" in the top corner (as figure below) then the tool needs to be downloaded.

Depending on your browser settings then the tool could install automatically (look out for a message either in the middle or at the top of the screen).
If the install does not start automatically then the tool can be downloaded - just <follow this link>.
If it does not then check the following
Internet Explorer Version
Check that you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, and that the version is at least 6.0.2. You can find the current version number by following Help, About Internet Explorer from the menu. You can download the latest version here.
Allow ActiveX controls to download
Check that Internet Explorer is set to allow ActiveX controls to be installed. To check this, follow Tools, Internet Options from the menu and click on the Security tab. Choose the Internet zone and either reset the secutiry level to Medium, or click on the [Custom Level] button, look for the ActiveX controls and plug-ins section and make sure the following are set: -
Download signed ActiveX controls - Prompt
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins - Enable
Check user privileges
If you still can't download the control it may be because you do not have rights to install programs. This is most likely on a company network. You should refer this to your network administrator or IT support.
Download Stand-alone Installer
If all else fails click here to download the stand-alone installation program (EXE) from http://www.xstandard.com/en/downloads/.
